Chickadee, goldfinch, cardinal, sparrow, hummingbird

These five species visit my bird feeder every day. The sparrows split when I’m on the back porch, and then one chickadee at a time swoops in from the enormous Catalpa tree. The coolest thing is the Audubon iPad app: I play the chickadee songs and the live birds respond.

Two trips to Cali this year. Five nights in Monterey for my birthday and then a long week in Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Big Sur, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Capitola. That’s where I want to live, but who doesn’t?
